The Ste. Rita Community Centre is excited to announce that the Club will begin its long-awaiting Playground project, with its first structure!

It has been the Ste. Rita community’s vision for many years to have a playground space at the Club. Phase 1 of this space will finally come to fruition! 

The Club extends its many thanks to the Province’s Building Sustainable Communities Grant, as well as to the continuous fund raising efforts of Club volunteer Amanda Toupin. 

The Club also graciously acknowledges all the donations and financial support over the years from the Ste. Rita community and our neighbours. The Ste. Rita Playground is made possible because of you!

The current Grant has enabled the Club to purchase the structure itself. Additional grant applications and fundraising efforts will be needed to fund the installation of the structure. The Club hopes to have the structure installed in the spring/summer 2024.

Phase 2 of the Ste. Rita Playground will look to add additional structures to the space, including structures aimed towards older children. The Club is also looking at considerations for outdoor fitness equipment. 

How can YOU help the Ste. Rita Playground project?

**Attend upcoming Club events geared towards fundraising for the Playground project. The Club’s next such event will be the Wilderness Workshop to be held at the Community Centre on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Proceeds from the Workshop will go towards the Playground project.

**Volunteer with the assembly and installation of the structure. Details will be provided once the Club has more information. In the meantime, please consider being one of the many community volunteers who will be needed when the time comes!
